The new CD, The Tangent Universe by description rather than by definition.

The initial idea of the name Tangent Universe was somewhat borrowed from the Cult film Donnie Darko a mix of '80s teen comedy, psychological drama and science fiction.

The film, with its countdown to apocalypse, its intimations of time travel and alternate universes, and its 6-foot-tall talking bunny rabbit, lends itself easily to wildly divergent explanations.

Stylish and sexy, Damien makes his mark "I'm a creature of habit without a routine, I'm an L.A. sunset in a New York scene."

The artistic goal of singer/songwriter Damien is to provoke, inspire, raise the bar creatively. Although he would probably say "I'm here to rattle your cage". He is a very physical, outgoing young man and one of the first things you will notice about him is his air of sexuality. But there is more to him; and there is more to his art.

Damien's first demo tape earned him an investment deal and took him to New York City where he recorded and launched his first independent CD of underground house and spoken word. In order to promote these singles he made guest appearances at College Radio shows and performed across the Tri-State area at such renowned nightclubs as Webster Hall main stage, Irving Plaza, The China Club, Avalon, and Tuxedo Junction. Yet a freshman effort, his CD was placed into heavy rotation on the College Radio charts and scored a top ten and top twenty hit on the CMJ charts. Damien was named by the New England Performer Magazine as one of "The Best Pop Acts " out of Boston along side such artists as Aerosmith and Aimee Mann. The remix of his song "Falling" was commonplace in DJ pools and New York City clubs, including Limelight and Tunnel.

In time, Damien's interests led him away from the underground and dance genres and producer-driven projects, he took a hiatus to focus on his songwriting.

1997 spawned his band, Vertigo Blind. They performed live in downtown Village clubs such as C.B.G.B.'s, Luna Lounge, Don Hill's, and The Elbow Room. Though more comfortably seated in the pop/rock genre, and the excitement of performing, he still felt that something was missing from his music. Consequently, Vertigo Blind disbanded in the late summer of 1999. Damien began writing and developing new material. He returned to the studio with a fresh new approach, a hybrid of pop/rock and psychedelic with electronic textures.

In the Fall of 1999 he released a small run to industry “ Pomme sur le lune” (French translation: Apple on the moon) This 5 song CD which gained him major label interest and courting. In 2000, he formed, Damien and the Echo Boomers a vessel for his current songwriting vision, and played New York City venues throughout 2001-2.

In 2003 Damien completed his first full length CD “Love Drive- By”. His CD tested tracks in markets across the seas in Europe and after creating a buzz “I Awake” was released for commercial airplay in spring 2004 which quickly ran up the Adult Alternative, Most Added, and Hot Charts nationally.

His future goals remains unchanged: to write, record, perform, and continue to focus and challenge himself as an artist.
